Love is beyond distances

           I’ve been Daphanie’s classmate and friend for more than a decade. When I studied in University, Daphanie, flower and I groups a team to write a graduation essay. It’s not necessary for a Bachelor degree. However, we would like to know the level difference between the MBA student and us. Our graduation essay got the annual first rated award. Because of the essay, we spent many times to study and discuss together.

       One day morning, Daphanie was excited and told me she made a dream. She said she saw her future husband but the shadow hidden his face. After she went toward him. He has gone and she said the last scene before she waked up is a sunset view in the ocean and shows two word 海西 (to translate word by word are Sea and West) . She asked me what does the dream means and want me to analysis it. Well, in Frued’s psychological analysis theorem, she needs a lay. But, I just thought it’s too much stresses for the essay and didn’t give her too much advices.

       When Daphanie studied in her master degree, she had an international academic conference. That’s how she met her future Beijing husband Leo who comes from China. After the conference, they started to contact each other by e-mail and phone calls.  Their love haven’t vanished by distance and time. In the other way around, their love brews more mellow and sweet year after years. The last ten years, they met each other almost once a year. It sounds like Arabian night or the chinese love story “Altair and Vega”, but a real story version.I’m proud she is my friend.

        If you think that’s the only thing she can do for her love, you’re underestimated what love can do for a person. After several years work, we all have “office style body shape”, she isn’t the exception. However, to keep the beautiful moment and have a great effort on wedding photos, she really works hard to fight against calories and fat. She lost almost 25 pounds for this wedding. If you asked me, what’s the most efficient way of lossing weight. Get marry or get divorce.

        The Gods’ will bring the 海西 (The man comes from the western side of the sea) guy to Daphanie’s life and starts this amazing (almost impossible) foreign marriage. (TAIWAN AND CHINA ARE TWO COUNTRIES!!) The last ten years, when people are talking about how one’s boyfriend/girlfriend depressed her/him yesterday, they only can talk about how many days should wait until next time they meet each other by international phone call. However, they made it.

            Love is beyond distnaces.  People can travel other countries likes travel other counties by airplane. People can chat and see the other’s face by skype. However, does people really get closer by all those technologies? After all those and Daphanie’s wedding, I found out the most farest distance in the world are among people’s heart.
